Perhaps best known to film audiences
as a steelworker opposite Robert DeNiro
and Meryl Streep in THE DEER HUNTER, John Savage is a consummate American actor. After acclaim in his career, his heart brought him to South Africa, working alongside Nelson Mandela's Anti-Apartheid movement. Since returning from Africa, John has continued with projects helmed by Terrence Malick, Spike Lee, and Sean Penn. Persistent in elevating social consciousness, he recently stared on stage in THE EXONERATED, a docudrama taken from the court transcripts of innocent people wrongly convicted of murder and sent to death row.
